The salmon DNA everyone posts about is an injection. For a lot of people, that is exactly where the conversation ends — at the needle. Topical PDRN is the other way in.

The needle is no longer the only door. The company behind the Rejuran Healer injection now sells its DNA ingredient in a bottle, and four more Korean brands make topical PDRN products at different strengths, textures, and prices. Here is what each one does, what a serum can realistically deliver, and where the bottle stops and the clinic begins.

Rejuran Comes in a Bottle Now

PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide — is a blend of DNA fragments, usually purified from salmon or trout. In the body it binds to the adenosine A2A receptor, a signal tied to tissue repair, new blood vessel growth, and calmer inflammation. That mechanism is why it spent years in wound-care research before it ever reached a vanity. A 2017 review in Frontiers in Pharmacology traces that clinical history, from chronic ulcers to diabetic foot wounds.

The bottled version comes from PharmaResearch, the same company that makes the injection. Its topical ingredient is c-PDRN, a patented DNA fragment the brand says it sized and processed for use on the skin rather than under it. It reached Sephora in the US, and Kris Jenner posted about her Rejuran ampoules on TikTok as a paid partnership (#ad) in late 2025. Each of these is a cosmetic, sold over the counter, and each takes a different route to the same ingredient. Prices are US list prices we checked in September 2026 — they move with sales and retailers.

This is the injection company's own topical formula. The label lists c-PDRN at 0.5% — 5,000 parts per million — and the ingredient list adds adenosine, which Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recognizes as a functional anti-wrinkle ingredient. So the repair ingredient arrives with a firming one. On the brand's US site, a 30 mL bottle lists at $52. Choose it if you want the name you already know from the clinic menu.

02 — Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum

Medicube pairs PDRN with a peptide complex in a lightweight, slightly jelly-like serum that layers without pilling — a practical detail if your skin is reactive and you already run three or four steps. At $26 for 30 mL, it is one of the most accessible ways to test whether PDRN suits you. Medicube sells it in two versions — one with salmon-derived PDRN and a vegan Rose PDRN — so check which bottle you are buying.

03 — COSRX PDRN Exosome Skinplaning Glaze Mask

Not another daily step — an occasional treatment. This is a peel-off mask: you apply a layer, let it dry into a clear film, and lift it away. COSRX puts drying time at roughly 20 minutes for a thin layer and up to 40 for a thick one. Alongside PDRN it carries exosomes derived from lactobacillus and centella — plant and probiotic sources, not human cells — plus collagen and a peptide. Reach for it the night before you want skin to look settled by morning. $17 for 50 mL.

04 — VT Cosmetics PDRN Essence 100

The PDRN here comes from plants, not salmon — VT sources it from Korean ginseng and markets the essence as vegan. If the fish origin was your sticking point, this is the one to start with. The texture is milky and suits most skin types. VT's page lists 30 mL at $43.20, with frequent markdowns closer to $35.

05 — Genabelle PDRN Vita Toning Ampoule

Genabelle splits the job in two. PDRN handles repair while vitamin C works on tone — the brand lists 5,000 ppm of salmon PDRN and 10,000 ppm of encapsulated vitamins C, B, and E, with the vitamin C in its stable sodium ascorbyl phosphate form. Four types of hyaluronic acid keep it from drying down tight. Pick it if dullness bothers you more than fine lines. The brand site lists 30 mL at $24.

Topical PDRN, Side by Side

Read the concentration column as label claims, not a leaderboard. Brands calculate ppm differently — some count the pure DNA, some count the whole ingredient complex — so a bigger number does not mean more PDRN reaches your skin.

What a Bottle Can and Can't Do

Here is the honest part. The strongest evidence for PDRN comes from injections. A 2026 systematic review in Cureus pooled seven randomized trials — 183 participants — and found injected polynucleotides and PDRN improved wrinkles, scars, and wound measures. Small numbers, but consistent direction.

Topical evidence is thinner and newer. DNA fragments are large molecules, and intact skin is built to keep large molecules out. A 2026 narrative review in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery concluded topicals likely penetrate less and work less than injections. On the other side, a small 2026 pilot in PLOS One tracked a 0.1% medium-length PDRN cream into the upper living layer of the epidermis and measured smoother eye-area wrinkles after 28 days. Promising — and still a pilot, with materials supplied by the ingredient maker.

What that adds up to:

• Expect support for hydration, barrier comfort, and recovery after procedures — the surface-level work creams do well.
• Don't expect the depth of change a series of injections delivers. A serum spreads DNA across the surface; an injection places it in the dermis.
• Give it time. Judge any new serum after four to eight weeks of consistent use, not after one bottle opening.

Use it after toner and before moisturizer, morning or night, and patch test first on reactive skin. If you are pregnant or have a fish allergy, check with your doctor before adding a salmon-derived product — or start with the ginseng version. Results vary from person to person.
